This was brought up by Colin Cowherd this morning and I thought it was brilliantly delivered.

Phil Knight donates 1 billion dollars into Oregon football, upgrading facilties, uniforms, etc. Why not hold back some of those 100 million dollars and instead invest in a head coach? Go to Chip Kelly, go to Belicheck, go to Harbaugh, go to Saban, and ask them how much? What $$$ amount you need to get you to come to Oregon?

Phil Knight can not be happy with what is going on. Why wouldn't he want to invest in a big name head coach for Oregon?????????? He has invested so much into the program for a 2-4 season.

Maybe this is the season the program needed to get Helfrich out of there as he isn't capable and get us in the right direction immediately.

Chip should still inherit plenty of his style of players and Herbert will thrive with Chip.

The guy inherited Marcus Mariota, one of the greatest QB's to play college football, then went out and got an extremely talented Vernon Adams who had already been coached for 4 years.

Prukop was a bust of a move.

Herbert has all the potential to be a legend in Eugene, he just needs the right coach.
