WSU needs to win that game or their season is pretty much over. Their chance to get to a bowl will be about 0 if they Coug it @ Nevada.

Arizona has another meh opponent this week and should roll them easy. The Zona offense got rolling once their QB settled down and had a nice game. But that D of theirs is a big unknown right now. It's a road game as well. First road test for their QB.

UTSA isnt just a meh opponent. They could be a contender for that top ranked of the other 5 spot. A favorite in CUSA. just beat Houston at Houston.

Arizona's 787 total yards last week were the second most in PAC history. USC put up 900 something back in the Stone Age.

Yup, they're going to be a good test. Especially since it'll be our QB's first road game. My prediction: AZ wins 31-17

See the lines look like Zona -7 and WSU -3. Pretty tight considering those teams offenses. They both better not Coug it on scrub night. Zona wouldn't sniff the top25 for weeks and Cougs would be staring at the abyss sooner than usual.

I would take both to cover and if these games were at home probably a TD more difference on the line.
UTSA is solid but the lower line is likely in reaction to them pasting Houston 27-7. Houston isnt what they used to be but still gets respect as far as non power 5 teams go.

Nevada on the other hand beat an FCS opponent 28-19. I think the line is due to traveling to Nevada. Nevada has actually been on a down slide the last few years. Now that i have looked at things a bit more I think 3 is pretty far off. If I were WSU I would be insulted with a 3

The problems for the cougs are they had ZERO defense in the first game, didn't even try to establish the hint of a running game, and we all know Halliday will be throwing picks all year. We just don't know which games he will have his melt downs in.

They will score a bunch, but with no defense and a propensity for giving up turnovers, they won't be getting a lot of respect on the lines this year. At least until they show they can stop someone now and then.

The pac pick'em isn't up yet because vegas STILL has no lines for the teams playing FCS level opponents.

I remember this happening last year once or twice as well and I believe Mamba eventually just made up his own lines for those. I would suspect if there aren't lines out today he may just do that.

As to the hoop. I come to the P12 thread almost exclusively, I think I have posted maybe 10 times out of 442, with this post, in other threads. I come here because the fans are passionate, usually articulate, and rarely troll (outside of UW/Oregon). I enjoy the trolling to a certain extent, since on the Stanford dedicated boards you get banned almost immediately for trolling.

A little smack talk is fun, and while I disagree with the points some make, I take it in stride as much as possible. I try to stick to football as much as possible here, I mean I see the signatures of some members, if I wanted to troll I would go after them personally. This place is a smack talk sanctuary where the lines between talking s%*$ and trolling seem to be enforced evenly by the mods. There are few schools I detest (aside from ND fuck those Teflon sons of bitches).

I dislike the UW because I grew up a Stanford fan at a high school with a view of Husky stadium across the lake (Lake Washington grad). I mean talk about getting smack talked try wearing a Stanford shirt to a school with the same colors as UW and a view of the stadium. I may have been one of 30 students who did not aspire to go to either UW or WSU.

I disagree with Regent on a few things, think Wiz takes things a little personal, know TF12, Mamba and Wallace an I might end up in jail if we all drank together etc. The fact is the fan base here is small and passionate, and not as likely to get rustled as the folks over on r/cfb or r/pac12.

Spose just lying face down under a tree after a night of drank would be to much to ask for instead Budda?

Jeez..JAIL? Bit to high of expectations here brudda.

USC quarterback Cody Kessler was named PAC-12 Offensive Player of the Week. 25-37 394 yards 4 passing td's and 1 rushing td.

In other news: Some fheg from the school across town made a few tackles, did a couple of other things and backed into being named the PAC-12 Defensive Player of the Week.

Congrats to both of them and the Ute player of the week for ST's.

MANNION ALERT!!

Threw for about 350 YDs in game1 this year...1/6th of what he needs to become the most prolific PAC12 passer EVER!

-J Elway...CHECK!

-J Plunkett...CHECK!

-W Moon...CHECK!

-J Harrington...CHECK!

-T Aikman...CHECK!

A TON of Qbs from USC, ASU, Arizona, Cal, Wazzu and UCLA as well. On THIS crappy Beaver club? That is a hair-raising accomplishment no doubt.

Congrats and stay healthy Sean

I'll do an avi bet with any of you USC fans for the Stanford game. I'll be taking Stanford of course.

I promise if Stanford wins I will keep the avi related to Stanford/USC and I won't deck you out in SEC stuff. :D

Question is 4d20......

Will you take one week for every SC homer to take your bet if you lose? :noidea:

They aren't going to have a good defense all year. The defense is filled basically with Monroe, Pole then offensive lineman and running backs. It'd be different if the roster was littered with 4 star recruits that can play both sides but unfortunately that is not the case.

But I think Halliday will have a better season in terms of picks, at least this year he doesn't have to look over his shoulder like he did with Apodaca and Bruggman.

I think this game represents return of SC and the beginning of the slide for Stanford.

*note, Stanford won't fall too far
