Can't say I know enough about Portland to really understand all of it, but my first thoughts were #15: Well except gamble. Never heard of a place on earth where you can sit at a casino table and not be allowed to drink a beer. What's up with that?

Can't say I know enough about Portland to really understand all of it, but my first thoughts were #15: Well except gamble. Never heard of a place on earth where you can sit at a casino table and not be allowed to drink a beer. What's up with that?

#22: Yeah, those things hanging down from the power lines are exactly what you think they are. Don't try to knock any of them down and use them, they are tainted rejects so naturally they became an artistic expression for all to see.

Huge Casino in Montreal - can't drink or smoke at the tables there.

I have worked in gaming for many years and it's just so odd to think about gambling without booze. It was the only thing I didn't care for in that tribal casino just north of Lincoln city though. Clean, nice layout, lots of choices. Just way too far to walk for a drink in that joint.

Yeah, that was the point. I've never been to another state where you can't drink anywhere near a gaming area. Just seems odd.

You can't gamble and drink? So you can get a t-bone steak and have any drink you want while you get a lapdance, but having a beer while you play cards is too far?

I'm not sure about Chinook Winds, but the wife and I just got back from the Wildhorse casino in Pendleton, Oregon and no booze is allowed on the gambling floor.
