Very true. You can't yack about all your yards and points all year then in the championship game get held to pedestrian numbers less than what you held those teams you played and beat all year and say you weren't beat soundly. You're like a pron ( had to spell it like that) star bragging about getting a kiss at a party. You talked a good game but in the end came up limp.

I was going to add in comparison. USC vrs Texas in the Championship game.

Auburn that year had five games they won by seven or less. They were a great team but they were tough defense , a running game and Cams Passing. Four times in that season including the championship game they scored in the 20s or less and won. Oregon was about fast pace and scoring quick and a lot. You can deny that but thats the truth.
Going into the fourth quarter whos game was being played? Auburn had 19 points. They were right were they wanted to be. Oregon had 11 going into the fourth. That's not Oregon football. Oregon had one game all year they scored 20s or less and the rest were track meets.
Auburn didn't go into the game with thoughts of scoring every 20 seconds (I'm exaggerating but its close). Auburn wasn't wanting to run play after play at a pace that would get the defense tired. That was Oregon and they were never even close to doing that.
And thats the point. Yes the score was close in the end but Oregon was taken completely out of their game. Auburn set the pace and imposed their will.

In ESPN's 3-round live mock draft @McShay13 has the Seahawks taking Ohio State DT Michael Bennett in R2 and Oregon C Hroniss Grasu in R3.

Makes me throw up in my mouth whenever the Hawks add a Duck to the roster, but we tolerated Unger as he was a stud in his prime and Grasu would fill a big need with depth at the C spot.
