I still kind of think Utah wins even without Anderson. Just waiting for ASU to start acting its age. Would be nice to win obviously but one of these games there's just going to be too much inconsistency.

Dres was good all over the place, but he will be missed as the deep ball threat.

Utah spreads the passing game around already so they just need some folks to step up a bit. If Young is in play he is more than capable of being the big play guy.

I'm sticking with the Utes. Going off their run game and defense mainly anyway.

I think it will likely be the game of the week to watch in the PAC.

I'm thinking the Utes will have trouble getting up for two big games in a row. Especially coming off of an emotional last second victory.

They're still inexperienced but this isn't a young ASU defense. In the first 5 games they played as many as 4 true freshmen at once but the last two weeks none have started and the youngest player in the starting 11 is Fiso, a redshirt sopomore.

Where I am concerned is that Utah is capable of grinding out drives and tiring out the defense. The switch to 4 300 lb D linemen has really helped but Hood and Latu still look out of shape sometimes. Washington and Stanford really weren't able to stay on the field long enough to take advantage of this but Utah might be able to. In UW's only scoring drive the d-line looked gassed and Stanford's only touchdown came when they ran the HUNH.

I agree, you must be right sooner or later. They have nothing more than they had when they were drubbed by UCLA, at home. But whatever its taken since then, they've had it or found it.

But Westerfield is out for this game and that could be enough of a game changer itself. Despite claims to the contrary, it seems that Kelly is not his old self yet either. Yes, it is ominous but we'll see.

Go Devils!

Hard to say about ASU's defense right now. They gave up 62 to UCLA and 34 to USC in back to back games. Then in the last 2 games, they held Stanford and Washington to 10 points each.

The question is, is the improvement a result of the inexperienced defense clicking and finally growing up, that Stanford and Washington haven't exactly been offensive juggernauts or a little of both?

I'm thinking the Utes will have trouble getting up for two big games in a row. Especially coming off of an emotional last second victory.

They lost by 1 at the end of the game to WSU.
Beat a #8 ranked UCLA on the road at the end of the game.
Beat Oregon State on the road in OT.
Beat USC at the end of the game.

My fear is the emotion of 4 games in a row coming down to the last minute. 2 games in a row is tough. Asking them to do it 5 games in a row should show how good this team really is.

My concern in conference play has been our offense. They spread it around a bit last week and I'm just hoping they can continue to build on that.
