Not to jump into the Wiz/SoCalJim dustup.

I will say this. Wiz has been a bit "over the top" in some of his criticisms of Sark, although I do understand why up to a point.

Wiz has been complimentary and has given Sark credit for picking up a program that had been all but destroyed by the AD, was coming off of an 0-12 season and returning respectability to the program.

When USC was in the process of hiring the new coach and Sark was a frontrunner for the job, he made the expected "I'm here for the long haul" comments in case he didn't get the USC job. Wiz had no issue with this.

Wiz's issue (and I agree with him) was when Sark brought the DawgFather into the discussion by claiming he wanted to restore the program to that level. It would be like a coach at USC saying he wanted to restore the program to John McKay levels before bolting to another program or the NFL.

It was wrong of Sark to bring Don James into it and I understand why that would bother Huskies. It was basically a step too far. Unfortunately, we can't unring that bell and while it's probably time for Husky fans to move past it, it is what it is.
At least you get it.

Add that now he's with the enemy (as any non UW team is) so why wouldn't we be against him now?

And you understand the difference between poking people and beating them up.

So, nice job of settling that right up.

I do have to laugh at the notion that ducks are only calming down out of fear of my bitching about it. I mean I'd love to wield that sort of power, but why on earth would ducks feel the need to change who they are out of fear of a Husky fan? I was pretty clear in telling people to do what they do. I just exercised my right to tell them what I think of it and some folks go all bat shit crazy over it. It is amusing anyway. I'd bet anything that if duck fans wanted to keep it up they would despite any other opinions, especially by their hated rivals.

Yeah, they calmed down because you took their ribbing like a man. Not. lol. TF is just being nice and handing you your blankie. Man up dude your team tanked against them again and you guys set yourselves up by talking chit prior to the game. Did they go overboard? Yeah mamba and his fuck this and fuck that wasn't warranted but In my short time here I've noticed either beer or bud affects his postings because he's posting while he's parting. I figured you'd know that by now and roll with it. I poke you in the ribs because you're so sensitive and easy to read.I'd actually like Washington to beat Oregon . Moving on......

UW did tank and YOU saying so is no big deal. I mean we consider the source right?

Everyone talked shit before the game. That's what college football is about, at least in part. I mean you aren't new here are you? There will be more of it next year and there will be odd battles here and there until then. Rival dust ups are inevitable.

I still think it's funny that now you have TF acting differently because of how I respond. So now I totally dominate the duck fans up here and now TF. My power grows by the minute around here!

I deal with your occasional little fits up here because they are fairly harmless and it kills time.

Moving on? lol, hardly. I own your head and you know it. You can't resist any bait I leave for you. Like 6 or 7 posts about me and 2 related to football? Yeah. I'm all over that dome of yours.

Fits? You're in my head? lol. You are seriously delusional. I run my own business after serving in the Marine Corps and you're in my head l. Now that's some funny shit . lol. I love how you read something and twist it in your head.
They feel sorry for you because they made you cry= you dominate them .lol
You have a good day in your delusional world . Some of us live in the real world .

I think Mora only leaves for the right NFL job. He learned his lesson from his brief stint with the Seahawks and has a great job now. Why risk it for another bad gig?

There have been rumors of NFL teams talking to Shaw and it's hard to get a read on him, but I wouldn't see him leaving for any other college and it would have to be the right NFL for him to leave as well. Wouldn't say never, but not that likely? :noidea:

I might be premature to say Helf wouldn't leave, but he too would probably have to be an NFL gig over another college. And I'm not sure any teams are beating doors down to get to him any time soon.

Probably a similar situation for Wittingham and Leach. They might bail for a dream job, but who's beating their doors down any time soon?

The most likely to get poached AND willing to go have to be the two zona coaches IMO, with rich rod being a slight leader right now? :noidea:

Agree about Mora only leaving for the right NFL job. He sure as hell ain't giving up UCLA for the Raiders (sorry Mamba). Shaw is probably the hardest to read out of all. Heck, he's hard to read on the sidelines during a game.

Agree that the 2 'Zona coaches are probably the most likely to leave.

I'm worried about Utah. I think USC is the better, more talented team, but Utah is dangerous. I'm concerned that the altitude, combined with our depleted numbers and Utah being a solid team could be too much to overcome. We'll see.

IF we get past Utah, then we should be in pretty good shape to have the South title come down to the UCLA game.

I think you must be suffering from Jael Mary trauma. You must have been listening to the FOX announcers who went on for three hours about the great Utah defense while they were giving up 21 to the Beavers going into overtime. Never mentioned giving up 59 a week earlier. No excuse for losing to Utah.

NN, why is UW only a slight dog against your team coming into this weekend? As bad as our offense is I was just shocked to see that line being so low. You all have some bad injuries or something? :noidea:

Uh, what?!? Utah is 5-1. Their only loss is to Wazzou and the most points they've given up is 28, once in the loss to Wazzou and in the win over UCLA.

Also, call me crazy, but them beating UCLA and Oregon St., back to back on the road, has my attention.

How many HC's in the conference wouldn't leave for another job (at their top choice right now) vs those that would leave? I mean both zona schools have to fall in the latter category. So would Dykes probably. Leach? I'm sure if an offer came he'd take it. Shaw? Would he go to the NFL? :noidea: Mora's hard to gauge but he might like another shot at the NFL, doubt he would go to another college though.

Riley, Sark, Helf, wittingham are strongly unlikely to ever take another job over what they have now and Petersen might be in that boat, but kind of early to tell.

Colorado? :L No one is staying in a dumpster fire if there are alternatives out of it.

Of course, there are offers that any of the coaches would have to accept. I bet you have never turned down a substantial raise or a more influential position. . Someone snatched your coach right from under your nose and he went to a competing school. Why? Even CP left a school that made him famous to come to UW. Why? So what exactly makes you think the Arizona schools "have to fall in the latter category."
Actually, there are reasons why they don't. Beaver's point was that RR is getting too successful there. I agree. But give the AD most of the credit there, he's the real star at UofA.

I think what Wiz is getting at with the 'Zona's being "in the latter category" is that, for lack of a better word, there are "tiers" in the level of coaching jobs. The 'Zona schools fall into the middle to lower part of that "upper tier". So, while a coach certainly wouldn't leave one of those jobs to go to Colorado, Purdue or some middie, they would leave to go to a "blue blood" school or the NFL.

I do not see Shaw leaving, though after this season some fans seem to blame him and the OC and not an inexperienced O-line (I said preseason if the line did not gel we were looking at an 8-4 team this year). I do not see David leaving, he is happy, makes good coin and signed a major extension (around 10years) last year.

That's easy to answer, Wiz. We've played three top twenty teams in a row, winning two, with a backup QB, and considerable help from the other side. There must be some expectation that ASU will continue to find a way to win and expectation that the Dawgs will help. We can beat you only if our offense can carry the defense to the extent it needs to be carried. I don't know anything about your offense but if it is as bad as you say, ASU likely has a slight edge.

You might be right. But did you see Harbaugh leaving? I didn't.

Didn't Furd give that guy everything he wanted? They rolled out the red carpet when he showed up, all the time.

I agree with you about the oline, and once they do gel, watchout... might be the best ever and thats saying a lot for Stanford.
