Graham took a bit of heat for hiring his friend as DC, but as the announcer noted, it is hard to believe this team is the same as the one that lost to UCLA three weeks ago. Even harder to believe is that a QB could come off the bench and perform like Berco did. Kelly was dressed but never played, assume he's still not well, but then, maybe they just couldn't bench Berco. Better news is we start next year with a proven QB and an experienced defense. I know there is more ahead but you have to be happy at 5-1 after playing UCLA, USC and Stanford. I don't deny the luck we've had but doesn't that always play? Let me freshen my drink and if I haven't passed out, I'll be back to brag some more.

(We do need some comments on a subject not related to the hate between you know who)

I think the Kelly stuff was just some gamesmanship to make them do a little extra preparation for the run option, since we still can't run the ball that well with Berco. And if Berco got hurt, he might be able to play versus burn a freshman's RS. As soon as TK can go, he has to play, but having a backup that's better than most team's starter is a nice luxury.

And yeah, I agree on 5-1. I'd have been pretty pleased with that with Kelly playing, let alone the backup. Bad news is the games that I sort of thought were going to be likely wins look difficult now.

@Washington and then Utah before ND is far from a picnic.
