R u talking about UO's OT Fisher? Big boy to have back on that right side for sure.

Yes. Fisher is that valuable.

I can't imagine what the Ducks will look like when Andre Y gets back to replace the true Freshman.

And forget about it if the preseason 1st team All American Johnstone was playing this year.

Huskies are 5-1 and just held a team that was dropping 50+ points on opponents to 7 at their house. Loving how we executed at all 3 phases the best I've seen this year.

I'm just going to enjoy that for a day or two before the Nike U. gaga begins.

Should have been a shutout too. But I digress...

So UCLA's Vanderdoes punches Jake Fisher , gets flagged but not ejected.

I have said it before, UCLA is dirty. Zumwalt now this clown.

Then we have UCLA's def coord quitting on the sideline during game.

Sorry vita. Not aimed at you or your teams fanbase. Just the team. That was embarrassing.
So do you really think Vanderdoes just did that for no reason :noidea:.

It appeared to me that something set him off and he got ticked off. In other words to me, it looked more like a reaction than just a cheap shot. Mamba if you've ever been in those trenches than you know a lot of shit happens on both sides of the line all the time. Plus, I never saw a closed fist, a punch is just what the announcer was saying. An open hand is viewed more as a shove after the whistle and is considered a personal foul and that's what was called.

As it was, your boyz were often going after and striking the head of Hundley when he became a runner instead of just making a clean tackle. True, it's legit to a point because he was going down head first but they still could call targeting however either way those were some cheap shots your boyz were getting in there too.

This is football brother, I don't want them to wear flags and neither do you. Jim Mora teams do play very physical and through the whistle, I know you don't like it bro but that's not dirty football, it's just a physical style of play.

He obviously didn't watch the game. lol. Those refs sucked both ways.

The Cats lost because they missed a short, makeable field, so what happened leading up to that was not in the end a game changer. The team put themselves in a position to win with a great comeback and deserved to win IMO. USC could not put the Cats away and nearly suffered another hail Mary defeat.

Also who cares about a shouting match between a couple of Bruin coaches?

What does that have to do with anything anyhow?

You expected UW to hold the nations 2nd leading scoring offense to 7pts, in their house?

It was a great result, no matter if you expected a UW win or not. Teams should be on notice that UWs D is legit, and when playing well, quite scary.

No one else is going to hold Cal to 7 this season, except maybe Furd. They are going to score in bunches against everyone else.

Regent and IB are at the opposite end of the hall on their take of that game. UW faced the worst defense they will see until the Apple cup and still struggled to make first downs. Of their 4 TD's, one came on the most freakish 100y fumble return I've ever seen, one on a very short field after another Cal fumble where granted, Miles made a great down field throw to the end zone to their TE, but it was just a one play drive, and one came on an 86 yard explosive play by Ross. Those things happen in football games, but it's not like they moved the ball at will against that defense. They still shot themselves in the feet with stupid penalties that took them from makeable first downs to 3rd and longs.

UW doesn't turn the ball over, but that's because they have like 4 plays and all of them rely on Ross or another playmaker to make moves to get something more than 5y out of it.

Take a win any way you can, but when you look at this team they still aren't looking like more than a 7-6 team at best because their offense just might be the worst in the conference and I'm afraid it isn't even close to second worst.

Now the defense is another story. Really coming together and that was a hell of a performance on the road against a very potent offense. Shaq, Kikaha, and even some big plays by Baker were huge. Their defense will keep them in games, but screens and draw plays aren't going to beat many top tier teams in the conference.

Huskie D did look great Whiz...they were hitting hard from front to back all day...Duckies better take note of that at least.

GL2U next week....should be a beauty in my OP.

Its not just Miles lack of interceptions and relying on short passes to our playmakers. They haven't lost fumbles either, save one.

The teams doing a great job at ball security.

Mike,

Like I said, not personal to you. You are right. It's football. And in the game of football there is no place for punching a guy in the kidney when there is a scrum going on.

And in cfb, I have never seen a coordinator say "I quit" and hand his play card to the coach while walking off the sideline during a game.

I can't believe you are defending it.

I realize Oregon's offense has caused a lot of coaches to get fired, but never have I see. A coach quit during a game.

It is a disgrace to the players, parents of the players who trusted their coaching staff, as well as the fine fans of UCLA.

What kind of message does that send the players? When the tough gets going, quit.

Just not right.

That's the UCLA way, it's always been that way

AP out. 5-1 Huskies still can't crack the 25.

Pac-12 in new AP poll: 9. Oregon 16. Arizona 17 ASU 20 Utah 22 USC 23 Stanford.

I don't know about all this "deserved to win" stuff. How about the team who puts up points and yards for the majority of the game. They don;t "deserve to win"?. Just the team who played the last 3 min of the game better? You miss a make able field goal and you still deserve to win? But not the team that doesn't bat down a ball at the end? I leave the "deserved to win" for a game thats tight all along and an offical makes a bone head call and gives the game to someone. Field goals made or missed, bad defense, bone head play calls , hail marys it's just part of the game.

Looks like retaliation to me. #75 drove his forearm into the back of his neck on the way down.

Still worthy of a rejection. He threw a punch.
