Only one that surprises me a bit is USC @ Zona and they are road favorites.

UW hasn't been impressive on offense so I get giving Cal a slight edge at home and even though it's Oregon going to UCLA, it's still Oregon so they are still getting some credit.

WSU @ Ford and 17 point underdogs intrigues me though. Best defense in the conf vs one high flying offense.

Surprised me a bit too. After taking down the Ducks and what happened to USC, I was thinking we were looking at a pick 'em at best. Maybe the oddsmakers aren't sold on 'Zona or they are oversold on USC?

Oddsmakers don't care about nothin that doesn't lead to $$$.

As long as the $$$ comes in on the SC side and it always has in these cases, SC will get points whether it makes sense or not.

That said, and here's the kiss of death this year SC fans... I think the Trojans win outright and cover.

Not really. Look what he started with and where he is now. Wazoo will be a respectable and competitive team in another year or two under Leach. Remember, we all laughed when he got a raise -now he's earning it. Checked him out when ASU was looking for a coach; interesting.

A. Leach should never have had his contract extended at the time. He showed for 2 years he was in over his head in a conference like the Pac 12 as every game except arguably the 2012 Apple Cup he was outcoached. I'm still not sold on him because he is finally evolving as a coach but making mistakes that rookie coach's would not make.

B. I'm not so sure the future of the program right now. All of his highly touted quarterbacks that would've taken over for Halliday have left the program. Filling the void of all the seniors they will be losing on offense is going to be tough especially for a coach like Leach. On offense next year it will basically be Cracraft, Marks and two really good running backs in Wicks and Morrow. Not exactly the recipe for a successful Mike Leach offense.

ALL BS in my OP as well...Zona did what teams need to do against the Ducks...Keep Mariota on the sidelines by moving the chains on their own offensive possessions...simply as that.

Zona ran the ball very well last Thurday night and THAT is the reason they won at Autzen.

Can your team run the ball? Can your team move the chains consistently? Can your team keep Mariota on the sidelines and the TOP on your side all night?

Maybe they think, TF12, that USC is the best team in the South. Likely they are right. Maybe they think USC will start acting like it. You shouldn't have lost two games, but you're back in the thick of it with a win this week. Make it or break it.
