Brisket turned out fantastic as usual...Beavs did enuff to get the hell out of Boulder with a "W" on a day where upsets flew around ALL DAY!

Glorious day of college football in my OP. Good stuff...It just couldn't be better, I have not see that kinda day EVER Mamba. What's not to like about it?

I'm sorry but how does UCLA stay in there? They have not lived up to the hype, they haven't blown anyone seriously away, and lost to Utah who by the way lost to the Cougs????

Good question. Been waiting to see an educated reply. I'd say probably because the best team in the South has lost the most games. Or to put it another way: parity. Talent on the UCLA team, their success at recruiting, their Heisman candidate at QB, etc, says they should be the good. Their poor performance in the first three games was overlooked and undue credit given in their blowout of ASU, which really belonged to the ASU defense. The fact that their QB was sacked ten times in their latest game is already being overlooked by the "experts". I think the whatever the truth, it will out in their next game.

Was a hell of a game, but 2 things. No idea why they didn't go to the booth on the Wicks runs where it appeared he touch the line. He may not have actually got a touchdown but it made no sense that they didn't review it. The second, I love that Mike Leach is actually adapting to this century but you can tell he isn't use to it because on that last run play he needs to call the play to run to the middle of the field not towards the sidelines to set up an easier field goal.

All in all it is a game that you can walk away from with positives as the two kickoffs killed us and the defensive play calling was way too conservative for going up against a pass heavy offense.

He was for sure in Wazzy. No doubt about it. I thought they should review it.

Leach should have slowed down or used that last T.O. To get a review.

Then they panicked and called a T.O. With 19 seconds left. IMO right there you relax, snap the ball. Center the kicker and then take T.o. For game winner. Those cfb fgs from short distance from that angle are not gimmies.

Didn't leach do something crazy vs Rutgers as well, or maybe Oregon?

Thought he had a wtf moment are you thinking in one of those as well.

Hint: Those of you struggling on your picks might want to just do the opposite of vitamike each week.

5-0, coming off a defeat of a top ten team on the road, deserves a spot in the top ten at least for a week. Rich Rod may be the best coach in the PAC. Got my vote right now.

Ya, I was confused by the timeout situation also, he should've used it after the Wicks play or saved it. It was only third down with 19 seconds left when he used it so there was plenty of time to reset then run one more play at either the end zone or setting up a straight on FG with a minimum of 5 seconds left. Clock management isn't his strength but like I said, even though I still believe Washington State is a superior team to California I still come out of this loss much like the Oregon one where even the negatives leave optimism because we made a few screws up that are correctable that cost us the game instead of blown out or an actual "Coug'd it"

Wow USCs defense of the Hail Mary was just sad. WR was literally untouched

That's where we miss Josh Shaw, imo. We had a bunch of freshmen and sophomores trying to defend that. Hayes Pullard was back there and he's a senior, but he's also a linebacker and not used to defending a deep pass.

Hats off to ASU. That Hail Mary was set up well and Jalen Strong tracked the ball the whole way down the field. I don't think any of our defenders even saw him.

What a week overall though. 5 of the top 10 and 11 of the top 25 all lose. The rest of the season is going to be nuts.

Second place and no weekly wins. Means you have been the most consistent picker outside of the alien invader at the top.
