Twelve of the par 4's are drivable. With the firm conditions on the greens does this negate an advantage for the long hitters?
Yea, I hear the roll out on the drives is insane. I think it was Tiger who just said today guys are using 7 Iron off the tee.Twelve of the par 4's are drivable. With the firm conditions on the greens does this negate an advantage for the long hitters?

In a way yes but if the winds dies down it really can take the teeth out of an Open.Hasn't the Open always lessened the advantages of big hitters?
How do they get a par 72 out of a course that has only two par 5s? Are there only two par 3s?Twelve of the par 4's are drivable. With the firm conditions on the greens does this negate an advantage for the long hitters?
Yup.How do they get a par 72 out of a course that has only two par 5s? Are there only two par 3s?
The course I play now has changed it’s format and I don’t like it. They only have one par 5 and one par 3 on the back and you play 8 par 4s in a row. Kind of ruined it. All in an effort to put more houses on fairways to make moneyYup.
I played a course a couple of weeks ago that had three par 5's and three par 3's on the back.
whoops. Its over. No way Smith gives up this 3-shot lead. he just doesn't make bogeys.
