The Raiders defense is going to be legit.....a lot of experts are calling it one of the better front 7's.
Well, it is a Del Rio defense. Your vanilla 4-3 will be on point and everything else a heaping pile of poo.

I miss the good ole days when nobody knew who the Seahawks were, let alone that they are actually a professional football team...
If this is the case I hope the season is entertaining during the wait until January gets here
The only 6 teams that have a chance to win the Super Bowl
Pre-season is just that. Pre-season is for a lot of veterans to get into shape and new pieces to learn the offense and defense.
Since you brought it up.....we gave up 172 yards rushing vs the Cards.....4.9 yards per carry.....but we won.....that's the most important thing......right?
Against the Packers we showed improvement....145 yards on 40 carries, just 3.6ypc. But, we lost. I don't think it's been as bad as you're making it out to be.
I won't bring up the pass defense, which has been pretty stellar.
Got to love these only x can win the SB after a tremendously flawed team that was far from dominant (outside of defense) just won the SB. This narrative needs to die.
Neither Pittsburgh or GB have a Top 10 Defense.
Gonna have to disagree all around here. Rodgers is the best QB in the league, and even at Bradys advanced age he play pretty good last season. Yes his end is near, but I think it's still a few exits away.LOL Packers and Pats. Packers defense is meh and Rodgers is overrated. Pats will probably go 1-3 or 0-4 without Brady which pretty much eliminates them. Also, Brady is 39. Father time is undefeated. Guess people think Brady gonna be elite until he's 100 years old. Pretty sure Peyton hit his wall at the same age of 39. A 39 year old QB isn't just gonna come back from a 4 game suspension and dominate. He's gonna be out of game shape and needs at least a few games to get his conditioning back.
The common denominator in this list appears to be have a top 5 QB combined with a top ten defense. The only anomalies in recent times have been the G-men.
I've bashed RW with the best of them, but today I'd take RW over Brees and Brady.Have can having a top 5 QB be a denominator when there are 6 teams? Also, I would not rate Wilson or Palmer in the top 5. Top 10 definitely, but I think the top 5 QB's are Rodgers, Newton, Brady, Ben, Brees/Luck

I'm looking at their ages as a determining factor. I still see Brady as a very good QB, Brees I'll pass on.Agree to disagree. I hate Brees, but I'd still take him over RW if it were just for 1 year.
Brady is still Brady and wins with less talent around him unlike RW who up until recently had one of the top RB's and defenses in the league. Brady has Gronk and a decent defense, but it's really him that leads that team to all the SBs.

Agreed. When older players regress, it's rarely a gradual thing. Normally they just fall off a cliff one day. I understand giving Brady the benefit of the doubt because he played well last year but I could totally see a massive drop off from a 39 year old.
