Hmm, need to see if Seattle is eating any salary. Seems like a steep price but, Diaz is 24 so he's practically a prospect and Sandy's drafting history has been a disaster so not sure how much I invest in those prospects.

He was one of the few bright spots in the lineup this past season.

Swarzak has pretty much been a bust in the short time he's been on the active list since he arrived. Good Riddance.

Apparently Brodie flew to Arizona to talk to Alonso so I think that's a good sign.

If the rumors of Seattle eating $60 million are true that helps a lot.

Harper is over-rated in my opinion. Guy really has only had one monster year followed by a season of hitting in the .240s. Sure he's still young with gobs of talent but $400 million?

Yeah it's a tough one if we are on the hook for a large portion of the money. Hoping at least one of the prospects is not included if we have to take on salary. We're the team trading from strength here, not the other way around.

Also, tough to fully make a call on this until the whole offseason is wrapped up. If the rumors are to be believed apparently there are more big moves to follow.

If we trade Syndergaard you have to offset that by signing a starting pitcher.

It would really behoove this team to upgrade at the catcher position.

d'Arnaud hasn't been able to stay healthy and he won't be back until mid to late summer.
Plawecki & Nido are serviceable and decent enough for spot starts, but neither is an everyday starter.

It won't happen but I would flip Rosario for Realmuto if we then turned around and immediately signed Machado.
