Maybe it's Comcast being impatient and saying "We need to be back in the playoffs next season". Not sure how much Justin Braun will help that cause.

I would hope TJ Brodie could fetch more than Justin Braun (i.e. this trade setting for market for similar types of trades).
Who knows. Brodie's of higher skill and younger (but also pricier). Tough to make a direct comparison.

Can't say I'm hating the RD's being traded/signed with Zaitsev still dangling here. Gonna be looking very shiny to Ken Holland soon :D

True. He is good on the PK and the Flyers think this will help that void.
