Curious if any 1 else can get up 2 $1.00 off if you use a card, it's a grocery card(Kroger's) if you spend over 100.00 you get .10 off a gallon up to a 1.00 is the limit off..

Both my wife and I fill up our vehicles about three times a week......
Guess it would help a bit.

Me too, it sucks for sure. On top of that my truck takes 38 gallons worth.

damn.

I drop wife at her work, drive to my work
She combo walks/trains home from work
I drive home from work

I can telecommute usually 1 day a week

Total miles ~ 180/week (work)
Total additional miles ~30 week

Monthly ~ 850
Avg Fuel economy ~ 32 mpg

So right around $100/month in gas @ $4/gallon

of course that ignores...

Tolls (a big deal here) $1.80 a day (workday) when take highway (saves 20+ minutes) (so about $36/month if I drove to work everyday that way)

also ignores that insurance here is through the roof even with a clean driving record ($120/month for 1 car and moderate coverage)

her train ticket is $4 (so $80 a month)

And we really have it better than a lot of people in this area commute and fuel economy wise

:L
