a doe or buck and bear is in also,but not many of them in this area

I would love to do some hunting this fall/winter. I've done a lot of goose and pheasant hunting, had good luck with both. Not so lucky with deer. And wrok really limits my time to get out and hunt...haven't gotten out in a couple of seasons.

my uncle and brother just got back from their elk trips, not sure if they bagged anything, I will have to give em a call, the uncle used to do black power, ghost, but he also does bow hunting and likes his 270 the best

nothing wrong with the 270,I prefer the 308,one day they may fuck our ammo up there has been talk of making it with a shelf life of 1 year and after that it won't fire,,,well fuck them I have enough put back to fight a war

love my 270 but sometimes i hafta grab my ol' man's 7mm for the longer distance shots

shelf life on bullets don't scare me bein' as that i load my own

I have switched up on rifles the last couple of seasons,I have a remington 700bdl in 7mm 08,good shooting little gun with plenty of knock down power,,I hunted 3 years for that rifle,hard to find

thanks,it was the 7mm 08 that made it hard to find,I could have had it in any one of half a dozen other brand rifles but the 700 to me is about as good as it gets,and it will take a deer all the way out to 400 yards,the 308 almost no limit to what that one is able to do with the right guy pulling the trigger
