One more thing about Brett -

For 20 years the game plan of the other team was to knock Brett out of the game.

They're not playing flag football.
How did Joe Greene [I loved that guy] get the nickname "Mean" anyway?

The problem fans have here is we're used to guys being part of the "team" for life - no matter where else they may play. Hornung finished in NO - still is a Packer.
White finished started in Philly, ended in Carolina but there's no doubt he would always feel he was part of GB, if he was still alive.
Brett started out his carreer saying all the right things - giving credit to his O-line and everything - but once Holmgren was gone, he steadily became the most important person in his mind. Which is fine, I guess if you win Championships, but he never did again. If Brett had been in Cleveland, or Detroit, do you really think he'd be so great?
Maybe, but it was a TEAM that was the success in GB.

Same thing now - AR is very good, but he's likely not the same without Driver, Jennings, Finley, Nelson, Sitton, Bulaga, Woodson, Matthews, Williams, Raji, Pickett . . .

I'm done now.

Hope your boys stomp the Titans.

From the way he looked in recent pictures, one would think he'd been dead for a while, and just didn't know it.

Sorry if that seems cruel, but I won't be a hypocrite. I hated the guy back when the Raiders were our biggest rival. Thought he was a Class-A jerk then, and I don't recall anything happening to change my opinion of him in the interim.
