I wouldn't be shocked with a Coburn selection either. Longest tenured guy, been a staple of the defense basically the whole time he's been here. I would say it's gotta be one of those 3 though.

Yeah, Coburn would be a good pick as well. I like Streit because they need him to lead that blue line this year with Timonen gone. I think it should be a defenseman tho. Coburn or Streit would be my top 2 picks.

I agree w/ that. I'd lean towards Coburn just because of tenure. Streit hasn't been here that long.

I just thought of Streit & Lacavalier because they were captains before, but you bring a good point about Coburn's tenure. I still like Streit the best for an "A" but Coburn would be my 2nd pick over Lacavalier.

I don't think morin or sanheim will make the team and they'll have to go back to juniors.

Shayne Gostisbehere would probably be the fastest player on our team sadly. I doubt that he is ready defensively though. He probably needs a season in the Ahl to adjust to the pro game.

Difference between Alt & the Flyers' top 3 defensive prospects is that Alt has 2 seasons in the AHL. Might be more ready than the other prospects.

He is definitely the top choice of the kids to play this season and very we'll may come up if we see some injuries. Only guy ahead of him is Schultz (But I might be forgetting someone)
