Advanced stats becoming the rage in NHL

Advanced stats apparently will have a great deal of influence in how the Flyers & Maple Leafs will go about business. How much faith would you put into advanced stats? There might be something to it, I believe the Kings led the league in Corsi this past season.

as long as they're just using them as A tool and not THE tool, I'm good with it. There's a lot more to hockey than advanced analytics though!

There might be something to Corsi but I wouldn't make stats the go to tool in formulating hockey strategies.

I'm actually going to miss all or most of it I think. Have the early stages of plans of going to the South Carolina / ECU game in Columbia and it's at 7pm. Never been to an SEC game, figured a night game for $40 on one of my very few free weekends the rest of 2014 is probably a good opportunity to do it. One of my friends/coworkers is a USCe alum.

That being said, I plan on taking my work phone (free data) in to the game so I can check in on it! Might DVR it as well. Should be an awesome game.

Is the game in Greenville, NC? My parents retired there before moving west. ECU is a great party school. I almost went to ECU after I got out of the Navy. Have fun awaz. It's a great town. I miss that area. Some very fun memories when I was younger. Lol. On another note, go Buckeyes!
Shit! I just saw that it's in Columbia.. Been there and done that as well. Columbia is home to Ft. Jackson ( US Army base). It's huge if you happen to drive through there. There are some nice places to visit while you are there.
