Excellent story: Holmgren Berube and Hextalls quotes were all right on the money.

Some of Holmgren's quotes showed why he essentially lost his job as GM. It's NOT always easy for a center to move to wing. Not sure how many times he needed to see it to get it through his thick skull.

ya.. that mentality I completely disagree with. Not sure why he has such a hard on for centers. It's nice to have a surplus of centers, but when you're sacrificing having 8 wingers in the lineup it's pretty counter-productive.

What he should want is guys who are versatile and actually can play center or wing. Regardless though, I'd rather have a guy who's an awesome center and sucks at wing, and a guy who's an awesome wing and sucks at center, then have 2 guys that are ok at both.

If you're going to have a surplus of centers then eventually you need to move one or two of them to get a winger, if you have that much center depth

Yes, unfortunately it sounds like he is out for the season according to bucknuts. That really stinks. This will definitely change the outcome of the BIG this season IMO. Have to give Sparty the slight advantage. Our defense will be better. Offense will still put up points, but without Brax, that changes a ton.:(:bawling:

I don't get why people think she is hot? Her music is annoying, almost as bad as Adele.
I've always been a fan of Eva Longoria and I know Tony Parker is no longer ..... It!! Lol

I feel the same way but for some reason Awaz wants her to be Mrs Awaz. :noidea:You know what they say love is blind.

I will say, the straight hair, outrageous outfits, and excessive make-up are not doing her any favors. she'll have to go back to the curly hair cute girl look before I propose :thumb:

I'm done buying jerseys now. Everytime I buy a jersey w a name on it, they get traded ( Lindros, Carter, Richards). I do have a Giroux winter classic jersey. I pray he's not on the trade block.

Well at least you'll have some good throwback jerseys in a few years.

What do you guys think will be the Flyers' projected roster?

This is what CapGeek has got...

Philadelphia Flyers Depth Chart

L1: Umberger - Giroux - Voracek
L2: Raffl - Lacavalier - Simmonds
L3: Rinaldo - Schenn - Read
L4: Rosehill - Couturier - White
D1: Streit - MacDonald
D2: Coburn - Schenn
D3: Grossmann - Del Zotto
G1: Mason
G2: Emery

In spite of losing Timonen, it's not a bad roster at all.

"Not bad" is not what I hope to hear when projecting rosters, though.

My comment was focused on the blue line. In spite of Timonen's absence, it's not a bad blue line in terms of depth. Forwards are outstanding. It's a pretty good lineup IMO.
