Ya, this roster is bad enough to miss the playoffs, but the reasons why they're missing the playoffs are on the coach IMO.

And this garbage going on with Mason, getting Reese fired, calling Mase out last night for giving up a soft goal in his post game presser, is just ridiculous. Nobody even deserves to be in the top 5 with him for MVP to the team this year. He's been nothing short of phenomenal. He's entitled to give up a soft goal in a meaningless game without being called out.

That, plus the inconsistency, plus the fact that he's been the coach for what, 18 months or so, and the team has regressed, is grounds for canning him. He's shown me nothing that would make me think about retaining him. Hell Couturier and BSchenn's lack of improvement alone is a big enough concern.

Yep - I'm just tired of Chief, and he pisses me off because he's got that attitude in him, especially during post game pressers, where it just irks me the wrong way - it really does

The benching of MDZ earlier in the season was unjustifiable as well - just absolutely stupid and MDZ knew it was stupid because he had been playing solid when he got benched - it's things like that in which it really pisses me off

The roster needs improvement but it all starts with the coach

Berube had the team playing like god damn all-stars all year-or should I say, like they were in the all-star game.

No fucking hitting,no defence,etc..Have Maxwell Smart call the Chief on his shoe phone,to give him the boot!

That's nice and all that, but he needs to be shit canned at the end of the season - no excuses

The only reason Mase hasn't completely blown up is that he probably knows he won't have to deal with him again past this season

At this point, anyone would be an upgrade over that stooge

Dan Bylsma would certainly be up there and who knows - there might be guys we don't know of right now that could pop up later on

Agree. I think it may be time to look outside the organization for a change. For years it's been Homer, Clark, Barber, or somebody who was tied to this organization at one time. I have no idea who is out there that is available, or who wants to take the Philly job if it becomes available? On my short list I like Babcock, Blysma, and Murray. Like you said, maybe there is somebody we are not familiar with? We agree Chief has to go.

If the Bruins miss the playoffs and Claude Julien gets canned, would you sign him up?

Hell the fuck yes. I wouldn't think twice. Do you think Bruins management would can him?

I think they would - I think they'd get rid of the GM too - this is a legitimate collapse if this ends up happening - from getting embarrassed by Montreal to now completely missing the playoffs, they've had some bad endings the last few years

I'd be very pleased to have Julien behind our bench. I think he would be a perfect fit for our young guys. I guess I didn't realize the Bs were in this big of a slump? I noticed Chara has been having a down year as well.

Wow. Just saw that they lost today and only hold a 1pt lead over Ottawa for the 8th spot. Ottawa also has 2games in hand. I see what you are saying. I'm not convinced that Ottawa has it in them to secure the 8th seed. I hope I'm wrong.

All good choices-problem is,Snider is very loyal to former players.

So don't be surprised if he offers the coaching job to the likes of Lindros,LeClair,Desjardins,etc..:L

Love them all but not as our coach. But I agree with what you are saying about Snider. He needs to change his ways that stubborn old prick. Lol:)

Loved the fact that they kept Riley Cote on board, to pass on his vast knowledge of the game,to the phantoms.

Flyers are 2-4-4 since moving coburn.

Love the deal, the return is amazing. Just want it pointed out that he was an important part of this team. I feel like he got a lot,of shit that he probably didn't deserve so I wanted to give him a little 'praise'

They had gotten points in 14 of 17 prior to his departure.

MDZ had gotten hurt and had missed six games during this stretch too so I get what you're saying, but there's also that too

A lot of shit has went wrong with this team since he left but he's not the main reason for the troubles - they had played pretty well the first three games after the trade and once they lost the Boston game, they gave up and that's as much to do with the coaches not getting the players ready to play than anything else
