Nation's top pro-style QB David Cornwell commits to Alabama | al.com

The rich get richer! Bama receives commitment from number 1 pro style pocket passer!!!

Looking at the highlights, this kid can run, is 6'5" and 230lbs, with a good arm and makes smart decisions. Whats funny to me is Bama went in and took him from someones backyard, but I wont mention any names on here(OKlahoma).

If this kid is as good as his ranking says, Bama got one of the best QB's they have had in a long time.

Texas gets commit #18, Dallas Lincoln WR Emanuel Porter. He's 6'5", 190# and had earlier been committed to TCU. Texas is grabbing really big WRs. In the past week Texas got Longview WR Dorian Leonard and he is 6'4", 200#

What's with all the love for tall receivers? Michigan is doing the same thing. History has not shown that the talent spectrum at the WR position is not related to height, especially at the college level. Not saying the Texas kids won't turn into superstars, but I am saying that if they do it won't be because they can post up.

Texas has been unable recruit TEs for a while, so I'm guessing they hope to bulk them up and turn them into TEs.

Ahh. Makes sense. I have to figure you guys have WR's coming out of your arse down there.

I thought that myself, until I was corrected a bit. Cornwell was actually only in Norman for high school ball, he isn't from there. Plus, Oklahoma got their QB in OU legacy Justice Hansen.

4-star WR Derek Kief announces his decision this afternoon, he has a top 3 of Alabama, Kentucky, Ohio st.

Would be nice to have him to go along with J.C. Hass. today.

The talk about the TE recruiting was a bit early. Trinity Valley Community College JC TE John Thomas, 6'5" 255#. In 2012, he was the #7 TE by 247Sports and had originally committed to LSU.

Looks like the Tide keep rolling. Better than Scarlett & Gray.

I'm not sure if that or Tennessee @ #3 is more shocking.

I'm sure things will start to shake up once them 5 stars make up their minds.

Btw, how is Texas below Kentucky?
They were going by the point total all the way to the right.... not sure he they calculate that. Of the 3 shown, they are in reverse order for "star average" per recruit.... so... whatever.

Utah picked up Bobby Hartzog from Westside ( Houston Texas) WR 6'1 190 I just saw some High lights on Youtube this kid can play ball. His Blocking is what sets him apart from other WR's IMO. He plays bigger then 6'1. Good pick up for Utah.http://www.hudl.com/athlete/1280712/highlights/32633376

Once the 5* guys start falling in place, UK will see a drop in ranking. However, they're in great position with an in state 5* D-linemen which will help with overall ranking.

Based on how Stoops and company recruit, UK should be well within the 10 - 15 range when it's all said and done... so yes, you did see a pig flying and hell go a little cooler as well. :omg:

GO CATS!

Texas has a large number of 3 star recruits that have not been ranked before their senior seasons. Some of those will be adjusted up, some may go down.

I wouldn't worry about it, Texas will still haul in an impressive class.
