Devin got overshadowed the last couple of years by JD Clowney, but I think he's a serviceable backup DE in the league.

Interesting, Don't know jack about him, but playing second fiddle to Clowney might not mean something so terrible.

Since we're discussing our college playing experience:

I played DII ball- led the league in yards from scrimmage two years in a row and we lost in the championship game twice in my four years. Granted it was intramural flag football, but I did play and it was at a DII school.

And I'm white, so there's that. I'm not a great point guard, nor a great shooter, nor am I seven feet tall, and those are the only spots for white dudes in the NBA...

I got MVP OL and DL trophies as a kid. Dave Butz and Chris Hamburger handed me Turkey Bowl trophies also. That to me probably means I could of played
D XII football.

Let the gong show begin at DE. Outside of Ansah I am thinking the Lions have doubts. Jones is a situational guy that will rotate but Young? Lewis? and the others.

Schwartz and Mayhew have added alot of UDFA at DE in hopes of finding a diamond in the rough or just depth!

I think it will come back to be a mistake they didn't resign LoJack.

I agree jdw......For a coach that puts a premium on getting (rushing the QB) to the QB were taking our chances with rookies and unproven talent at the DE posistion.

I hope it works out, but if it doesn't it was a very short sighted plan by Mayhew and company.

I usually agree with jd on most things, but we're polar opposites on our opinions of the DEs.

My excitement for this season hinges on DE being the most improved position on the team.
