Looks like I'm down to 30 guys after round 3. Even after all of round 4 there should still be at least 6 or 7 of these guys left for us to chose from.

Or, perhaps they go with somebody different alltogether...[/QUOTE]

Was this your Captain Obvious moment Trev??? If it isn't one of these 30 guys it could be somebody else all together!! Hahaha :laugh3:

Sorry, just woke up and had to do it!!

Nice list.

WR - I like Swope & DRob. If Swope were black he would have already been drafted.

I invoke the " Jimmy the Greek" rule here. Banned for life from this site. Sorry Shok, just seems like the appropriate ruling.

Of course if you are even old enough to know or remember him??

I think we have definitely hit 2 home runs with Ansah & Warford. I can't believe Larry Warford lasted that long. He'll be a great RG for us. We also could have had Sio Moore, an OLB I am very high on. But I can't complaint about Warford.

Slay is also a good pick. But it's too early to call it a home run. I would have preferred Arthur Brown. However, if Slay lives up to his potential both as a CB and as a returner...GREAT pick!!

Ansah, Brown & Warford would have been my DREAM draft.

But I am NOT going to complain at all.

Hell, just the fact that we took a DE, CB & OG makes me happy, let alone that I like the specific players. Mayhew must be learning. He finally threw away his stupid BPA board and actually addressed need.

Now we just need Khaseem Greene to fall to our 4th round pick and I will be even more of a happy camper!! And then we can have some fun and throw a flyer at DRob in the 5th round, Kenjon Barner in the 6th, and Tyler Bray in the 7th. :)

Ansah was projected to go right around 5 by most, Slay was projected by some in the first round, and Warford was projected by some in the second. You obviously had 2 of these guys ranked right where they went if it's almost your dream draft. What makes you feel that Mayhew wasn't using BPA?

I know you guys don't like Ohio St players, but John Simon is a tackling machine at OLB. I also think Ryan Swope is clutch at WR and we really need a guy that will make that key first catch 99% of the time.

How could you not be targetting Alex Okafor here? If he is there he has got to be the pick.

Unless, they choose to pick someone else Haha

My one issue with Simon is that he's a DE who's projected a linebacker at the next level. It'd be a new position for him.

I'd love to see Chase Thomas, Jelani Jenkins or Ramon Buchanan at OLB.

Seems like a pretty safe statement to me! If it's not one of the guys I listed, I have it on good authority that it will in fact be someone else...

Lions: I like what the Lions have done with Ziggy Ansah, Darius Slay and Larry Warford. Ansah is more football-ready than some would think and he is very willing to learn and grow into the DE position. Slay can fly and gives the Lions a solid corner. Warford impressed me at the Senior Bowl with his brute strength and ability to protect the mid-line, where Stafford will throw most of his passes from.

That's from Pat Kirwan.....Prisco isn't the only CBS anaylst that thinks it.

I keep hearing two things about Warford....
1 He was a very productive player against the likes of Jessie Williams, Logan, Nico Johnson, and Floyd. That type of competition is no small feat!

But neither is Warford! The second thing I keep hearing is he will have problems with the speed of the NFL. His foot work is average at best.

If he keeps his weight under control he could be a great pick. The man is almost the size of most OTs.

As for the 4th got to hope Ryan Swope slides. He has the speed to stretch the field from the slot. If the Lions go with say a Khaseem Green or Quisenberry then I will hope for Denard in the 5th!

is it possible that the Lions luck could be changing at Barrett Jones falls to us at the bottom of the 4th round?
