A.J. Jenkins was one of my favorite WRs this year and there were not many WRs this year I liked. If you would have forced me to pick a WR in that spot for the 49ers he would have been near the top of the list but with Konz and Upshaw on the board? Yikes.
Wow. If he pans out, great, but this is how I felt about Culliver at the time. Could turn out to be a very good pick, but we could have traded back 20+ spots and landed Jenkins.
To be fair my jaw being on the floor is not disgust, it's surprise. I watched AJ Jenkins play about zero out of zero snaps this season, so I have no idea who to expect from him.
Here's hoping Glenn falls far enough that the Niners can get him in the 2nd...
I'm not debating that. But Hill has potential out of this world. Not saying that he will realize that potential but at 30 I would be completely fine with throwing the dice.
That being said, I'm happy with this pick. I wanted a receiver with speed who could gain some seperation and we got that. Completely fine with this pick.
Baalke just lost all the credibility he gained with me last year. This was a horrendous pick considering he'd have still been there in the 2nd round and possibly the 3rd. Inexplicable!
