Did you know there is a lake north of highway 36 between 72nd and 84th St? (Not Cunningham)

About 30 years ago a developer built a reservoir there with the intent to sell lots for a lake-side community on it, but he went bankrupt.
Con Agra bought it and uses it solely for entertaining it's out of town clientele. It's loaded with lunkers, but nobody local can fish it. It's posted "Private" everywhere and they strictly enforce it. It's called Lonergan Reservoir on the map.

Boys Town has a private lake on campus that is loaded with nice bass and channel cat. You need a special permit from the director to fish it . May see a dozen of them issued each year. I have had one every year since I graduated from there in 1981.
