Their hot sauce doesn't come in packets. It's homemade and comes in those cups with lids. They have Green or Red.

Same with their pico de gallo. Just ask for it if you're in the drive thru. They'll hook you up. Family owned business so they bust ass.

They don't speak real good English, so put your Spanish filter on. :dhd:

This sounds like D'Leons in Lincoln. And this is a good thing.

Holy shit. Abelardo's is my favorite place to eat in Omaha. Hector's is probably my favorite sit-down Mexican place, but we've been going to Abelardo's since high school...excellent food and pretty cheap too. They actually opened another one north of 108th and Q in the same strip mall area that the Valentino's buffet is. It's still a hole in the wall, but it's a little bit nicer than the old Taco Bell that the 90th and Maple one is in.

Also if you want to relive your UNL experience, there is now a D'Leon's in Omaha on 114th just south of Dodge.

Abelardo's is better in my opinion but they are VERY similar.

Rex Burkhead just scored his first NFL touchdown today. Granted it was in garbage time, but the kid got a chance.

Super Taco on 56th and Holdrege = Best Taco.

That sounds like a legitimate non-authentic Mexican restaurant.

Kinda like that place here in Omaha called Romeo's. I ate there once thinking it was going to be a pizza place.

My favorite is Guaca Maya Mexican Restaurant, over behind the Stockyard Plaza. Their lunch buffet is simply amazing.

I moved out of town before they razed the stockyards. They had torn down a few of the packing houses but the stockyards were still there. Mostly empty.

I've been told by a couple Hispanic folks that this is the best authentic Mexican restaurant in the town.

Still haven't tried it yet, but we're going to for sure.

Great food, pretty senoritas (not all of 'em though) who know very little english and a real authentic feel to the whole place.

I don't know. Did you wear a bulllet proof vest to Rosenblatt? Right down the road from Rosenblatt and the zoo. Before Howard's it was Marchio's,a little Italy steak house. IRS shut them down. Probably back then your answer would of been a yes.

Did you go to Abelardo's last night?

No we were going to but ate too much at the place we went to watch the game.

We are already planning it for next weekend though. Gonna run through there and grab a couple burritos and drive around and look at some Christmas lights en sech.

I don't know.....all I know is that the bullets be a flyin' North and South.

Crackheads North shootin' each other up.........Mexicans South. Don't really know why the Mexicans are shootin' each other.....probably just because.
