i thought there were laws that a court case has to be heard in a timely manner?

I'm pretty torn on the whole issue. just saw a twitter poll about what should happen given the push back on the trial date and I voted he get suspended until after the trial. but could just have easily voted play until the trial. i'm also not falling into a fandom mindset, i think people have a tendency to do that, if it was the best player for Colorado or Ohio State would you really feel the same way? (Talking to the people that said to let him play on the poll)

i'd hate to be on that jury. it's just such a hard case because of the age of the victim and Maurice when he did it. i think its clearer cut in instances like a 40yo guy and a 14yo but this one is harder. i also always hate the excuse of "he was just a kid". it's like these kids that threw a rock off an overpass and killed a guy, how can they possibly think no one was going to get hurt?

Eligible is one thing. But my guess is he’ll get some form of punishment from Frost and Co. for bringing a bad look to the program. Be it a half or a game etc...

It has to be more than that IMO. Hate to say it cause Huskers are thin at RB, but SF needs to send message that this is not acceptable.

Yesterday was the first day of the 34th Alumni convention at Boys Town. Always makes for a great weekend.
One of my BT brothers, from Mississippi, met up with me at a staff appreciating social and gave me a gift. He handed me a large envelope and inside was a book. It was titled "The Cornhusker 1914." A yearbook from the University and football team. It's a beat up copy, but it's one of the coolest gifts I've ever received.
He said his wife found it and he bought it because it reminded him of me.

what is the court case going to say that we don't already know? dude fucked up like any teenager would do. I thank GOD everyday I'm not a teenager right now because i would be in so much trouble right now...

that said...are we waiting on plea and punishment first? I just don't understand why we are holding up the punishment.

Boys Town has one of the best breakfasts in town. I try to go there at least once a month on my way to work for breakfast.

Good home cooking on the griddle right in front of you and cheap, ta boot
