I'll be there if I am back from Indy. Still don't know what our travel schedule is, we are just kinda winging it.

So earlier I'm in Strike Zone with my boy so he can get some practice in the batting cage.
We run into Tommie Frazier and his boy. We chat for a few minutes and I introduce my boy to Tommie and Tommie says "The pants are OK (my boy's wearing Miami Heat basketball shorts), but I don't know about the shirt". I look down and my son's wearing a Kansas Jayhawks basketball t-shirt.

FFFUUUUUU!!!!

That is by far the most embarrassing 'fatherhood moment' for me to date.

It's what my ex sent him to school in today. Apparently they were down visiting her sister and brother in law in Overland Park, KS and that's where he got it. I need to pay more attention and get that shit fixed right away.

I ran into Tommie at the Cox Classic. He doesn't act like a celeb or anything....just a regular dude. He is fat as fuck now.

Yeah. He's a friendly dude.

When we left my son said "I thought Tommie Frazier was skinny?"

I was like "Yeah, that was 20 years ago, son".

I'm glad Tommie jokingly razzed my boy about his shirt. It'll be easier for me to guilt him if he wears it again. I could tell he was embarrassed about it. In the pick-up he was all "I only this and I only that" regarding the shirt. We then discussed pitiful Jayskers and what it means to be loyal to the Big Red.

He can eat his way to 900lbs as far as I'm concerned.

That man made my childhood one that I will never forget.

My boy and I have watched countless VHS tapes of the Huskers with Tommie at the helm.

He knows who Tommie is, but being only nine it doesn't register that Nebraska and Kansas were in the same conference back then. Tommie had to spend a week at a time game planning KU to kick their asses in. It's got to turn his stomach somewhat to see a Nebraska kid wearing an old opponents t-shirt.

My boy sees Nebraska as being in the Big 10 because that's what we talk about week to week for the last 3 years. Who Nebraska's playing this week.

Glad I was wearing a white ball cap with a big red N on it.

Thinking back to how he ran the option, it is almost mind-blowing.

It was perfection. Pure perfection.

Best player in the history of College Football to not win the Heisman hands down.

Your son met a legend. That's a good deal for him.

He knows it. And he was wearing a KU shirt. :L

I bet I never see him in that shirt again.

I don't know if this is true or not, but a buddy of mine heard from one of his pals that a friend of theirs was talking to one their bros and he knows a guy who said Imani once ate an entire cow in one sitting.

Hey JJM

Asparagus is poppin'. Checked a couple of my spots this morning and it was about 2 inches, so after this rain it'll be good for hunting tomorrow going forward.
