Looks like he passed away in hospice last night. When he wasn't going on the road this spring and they announced that he was being moved to an analyst position I was worried that he might be having health issues again. Very sad.

I'm heading to Omaha when I get off work in the morning. Going to celebrate Boys Towns 100 year anniversary with about 500 of my brothers and sisters.

I was a street kid in the 70's, into drugs, petty crime and violence. Not a great path to be on for anybody, but especially a 14 year old kid. Boys Town took me in about 40 years ago and literally saved my life.

I'm not a religious person in the least, but I sure hope the Vatican sees fit to make Father Flanagan a Saint during my lifetime.

Boys Town will look a HECK of a lot different when you're in town from the last time you saw it. They've cleared out and leveled pretty much everything on the West corner of 144th and Dodge for the new development project. Largest development project in the history of Omaha. It's been referred to as Aksarben Village on steroids.

I fucking love the State of Nebraska, Nebraska football, the Foltz family and Sam Foltz. RIP 27.
