I still think we're expected to make the playoffs with this team. Why else would a firing occur so early on? Yes, Laviolette clearly should've been fired last April, but there's plenty of time for this team to regroup under a new coach this season. If we still miss the playoffs, I bet Homer is out and Hextall is in, then there will be decisions on Berube and the players moving forward into the offseason.

i would agree w/ that. i like the team homer has assembled right now, and think he's done a good job. but if they cant get it done w/ a new coach, clearly i'm wrong (and homer was wrong) and they need to go a different route at the GM spot

The only good thing about this seasons 0-3 compared to last years is the 82 game schedule this year which makes this start less damaging. Hopefully we start a winning streak tonight with Berube.

i couldnt really see what was going on with that one, but this is his first incident (i think) the shelley reference is a bit premature at least rosehill can win a fight still if needed.

haha perhaps. i just don't like the 'enforcer' type player.. rinaldo can at least create energy with hits and stuff and occasionally makes a good defensive play.. i feel like rosehill serves no purpose

I forgot who it was the other day who mentioned our goalies never steal a game. That's all in the past now Mason to the rescue.

And the way we were playing under Laviolette, it looked like we were going to be 0-11 or 1-10 at best by the end of October. It's not as if we're playing much better...yet...but at least now there is a new system being put in place and nobody has to keep wondering how much longer Laviolette has.
