What most people don't realize is that Ben threw a VERY STUPID interception into double coverage. When he had a WIDE OPEN Heath miller just 15 yards further down field for an easy td!
duck ben! Mr. Harrison is right! Ben ain't all that and the sooner that idiot starts to play within himself the sooner we get number 7
The guys doing the local radio call saw that right away [one guy is a former center for the team & works for local TV station]. He said that Bush was out of position on the pick, because Miller was runnig wide open down the left side waving for the ball.

What can you do?

I have to disagree with you not giving Matthews credit for the strip of Mendenhall.
Check out NFL Films highlights:

Steelers sideline: coaches talking to backs about how Clay likes to chase from behind.

Packers sideline: Greene & Clay talking about going head on - they won't expect it.

Sideline before 4th quarter starts: Greene's pep talk to Clay - "Now's the time!"

On the field before 4th quarter starts: Clay telling team "They're looking at me. I think they're coming my way."

Right before the snap: Clay yelling to Nose Gaurd - "Spill it, Pickett! Spill it!"
[meaning slide off the block to Clay's side]

The play of the game: Rashard never had a chance.

I respectfully disagree with you North,
On this particular play Matthews wasn't lucky, the fact is, he was good!

yeah your boys got credit for winning the damned game,,,but the truth of the matter is the Pack didn't as much win the game because of their great play the Steelers lost the game because the offence, meaning mostly Ben played a very poor game,,,,,,,,and as bad as they were they had a chance at to win at the end,,,,,,,,[/

the bottom line the pack got the win enjoy it while it last they are few and far bettween,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

I guess it's easier from where I sit.
I remember being VERY frustrated with the Pack's performance in XXXII.

I think it's a combination [like usual] of great plays & mistakes on both sides [Jones dropped a sure TD]. That's why I thought it was a great SB - either side had a shot late in the game, & it went down to the wire.

Way better than a blow-out.

[btw - Loved the Tomlin comment before the last drive - "Just because you're built for it doesn't mean it's gonna happen."]

the only thing that pisses me off about losing that Super Bowl is we didn't bring our A game,,,,,,,,,,,had the Steelers played at their best the Packers would have just been a small bump in the road to #7,,,,,,,,now we have to listen to how great the Pack is,,,,THE PACKER DIDN'T WIN THE GAME THE STEELERS LOST IT,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Morning, all.

I guess we can rehash the last SB until the next one, including Rashard's fumble. To me, it looked more like incidental contact than a deliberate strip. When trying to force a fumble, a defender normally uses his hands, instead of trying to shoulder-bump the ball out. But it was just ONE play. Bottom line is that Ghost is right. Our boys made more mistakes than theirs. They didn't bring their "A" game, so they were outplayed as a team, and lost as a team. But at least they never gave up, and made it close in the second half. And they lost to a classy team, not a bunch of pukes with blue stars on their helmets. Losing to Dallas back in the 90s...now THAT was a bitter pill to swallow.

gotta go along with that I hate losing to the BOYS,an I love seeing them lose and I don't care who takes them out,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,my dislike for the Boys has dwindled some after Emmit and Erving left the team,,,STILL DON'T LIKE THEM,,,,JUST NOT AS MUCH
