So the merry go round seems to focus on Team Principals and leaders at this point.

Mattia Binotto out at Ferrari to the surprise of absolutely no one.

His replacement at Ferrari will be Freddie Vasseur from Alfa/Sauber. Not much of a surprise either as you would expect Audi to want someone with more experience in there as soon as possible as they build out their team, and Vasseur did guide LeClerc into the world of F1 and eventually in that Red car seat.

Audi have picked Andreas Sidl, former Team Principal at McLaren to be CEO of Sauber Group.

Seidl will be looking to hire a Team Principal, so curious who they will pick. I doubt they go after Binotto, but Arrivebene and Jost Capito are both available. Williams chief designer also left when Capito did, so the smart money is on them being a package deal to Audi.

Speaking of Audi, they are going all in:

McLaren has replaced Seidl with Andrea Stella

Funny how RB doesn't like being spoken about but Marko never passes up a chance to shit on an opponent. He has officially called Vasseur (new Ferrari honcho) a bum.

And Maxie doesn't think #2 drivers know their role or place.

Such a warm and fuzzy team.

When Andretti was a driver, he often ran Chevrolet engines when he drove for Newman-Haas until Honda dumped a bunch of cash in his lap as an owner. It is entirely conceivable that they again will team-up to attempt to penetrate F-1.

The current F1 teams being anti-Andretti/Cadillac is F1 at its worst. Toto coming and questioning how much they’d bring to the table is such BS. If an American team which includes a world-known racing name and literally the biggest car manufacturer in America isn’t enough to garner a new team, I don’t think these current teams are willing to entertain any 11th team.
What is frustrating is the clear growth in the US over the last 3-4 years. F1 is hitting more eyeballs, cashing bigger checks, and adding marquee races in America via Miami and Vegas, yet these teams are going to really come out and question whether Andretti and GM can bring them more money.
Fuck off.

yeah. As long as its up to the owners I think Andretti in F-1 will be a pipe dream

Speculation is that their engine manufacturer agreement was Renault, but I agree, there is a history with Honda that also makes sense.

F-1 is still stiffing Andretti Autosport and he is not waiting around. Expanding the empire into IMSA racing. I think F-1 is stiff-arming Andretti because they fear he may come in and dominate other "Euro" teams which are F-1's bread and butter. I believe Andretti will win this battle and eventually field a two-car team with Cadillac doing better than Haas.

Interesting read seeing as how John's son Jarrett won the Rolax last year in an Andretti Autosport car.

I think it’s about money. Dilution of prize money. It’s always about money.

There is a lot of hatred towards Michael from many European F1 fans. I remember him going to F1 in 93 or 94. Back then most races I would check the newspaper to see how he did, so I don't know what he did or said that people haven't forgotten.

It's money much more than dislike.

Horner said as much yesterday.

They would prefer them buying out an existing team. Like Audi.

And dislike dilution of prize money. (10%?)

And potential loss of American sponsors. Which is money.

And Michael was Aryton Senna's teammate when he ran F-1 back in the early 90's.

A lot of cars are sporting bare carbon fiber. To save on weight. And here’s a shocker. I think the Mercedes back in black looks awesome.

A lot of new liveries on display this week. The first race of the F-1 season is just two and half weeks out.
