There's no way that Yu just so happens to coincidentially lose all command against the A's every time. It's got to be a mental thing.

no question its mental. but its also the style of offense that the a's play. darvish is a power pitcher with great off speed... which there arent too many pitchers in the league like that. The A's are very very good at fouling pitches off and working counts. Darvish is traditionally a worse starter then finisher. If you keep darvish out there on the mound for extended periods of time like the A's do to everyone, then he's gonna struggle.

Now, a pitcher like martin perez actually succeeds because his fastball is slower, and his stuff isnt as sharp. His change up isnt a pitch that you can foul off, its a pitch that you either have to lay off of, or bat right into the ground. So they put his pitches in play and got out. Darvish throws hard and his stuff is very crisp, so you wont get the barrel on it. Therefore, if you have a scrappy team like oakland, they're gonna foul pitches off all day

His "I'm a breaking ball pitcher" is such horseshit, and it makes me crazy.

Hey Yu! I've got some breaking news for ya; the reason the Rangers gave ya all that upfront money was due to you NOT being a breaking ball pitcher.

Yes, we love your stuff. But what separates you from the pack of Japanese pitchers is your size/strength to throw 94+ mph.

no, ive always said that what makes yu a unique pitcher is that he's a power pitcher who can locate like a finesse pitcher.

I will turn the game off is he is not called out.

Thanks for hanging in buddy! hahaha

Honestly, this was a classic example of the replay working. And I'll tell ya for the record. I didn't see it at all.

Great RW/dugout pickup.

Hopefully Sonny Gray will be rusty after that long layover.

I'm with you there. This is a tough game to watch. Even if called out I may switch channels.

The whole point is that if they cannot get the call right with video evidence I am not interested in their product. They got the call right, and that's all I care about.

Remember is supposed o be clear evidence to overturn a call, that's why Choo being called out when he got hurt was such BS

Absolutely...that and the garbage where Norris stood in front of the plate pissed me off the most.

Just making sure, b/c they might have technically got that call "correct" but it certainly wasn't conclusive

Yu might as well pitch to contact and see what happens. Our middle relief isn't good. I wish he would throw more fastballs to this team. You have to make them earn it. They're dictating what he throws and that's backwards.

They reviewed half of the play that time. And then lied to Wash about it after.
