I'm going to miss him...

Portuguese papers were full of praise and tributes to him today, and rightfully so given how even in this tournament he was probably among the best CB’s save his trip up vs. Slovenia. He had four or five great challenges last night. He’s their best CB ever, which is actually saying a lot considering it’s maybe the one position Portugal has historically always had some pretty solid options.

Not many words of thanks for Ronaldo, which says either of two things - 1, they’re showing that they’re pissed at the entire situation and so is the country, or 2, they don’t expect that he’s leaving after this and is going to keep pulling this shit into 2026.
