Sounds similar to 2022 and Kane's penalty miss.

That was in the shootout vs. Portugal. The one vs. France Barthez saved (why they sent Beckham to take a pen against his former teammate when Owen was right there go figure lol).

Edit: Had to go look it up, they took Owen off 5 minutes earlier for Vassell so, yeah, not ideal lol. Also, Becks was the captain. Woulda given it to Rooney or Lamps though, Barthez knew the shooter and Becks' history with penalties....

I have those stutter penalties (like the one Havertz took) - almost no-one misses anymore. Goalkeepers should be allowed to come off their line as soon as you start your run-up.

I've always thought that the spot should be at the edge of the 18 yard box.
PK's are too automatic, leading to every asshole diving when the breeze blows if he gets inside the lines.

if you want to score, earn it with a good shot instead of 50/50 on the goalie's guess.
