Just watched the highlights of the match between Sweden and Spain - Crazy last 10 minutes and the GWG was a result of Sweden switching off on a corner leaving a Spanish player unmarked at the top of the box. Heck of a shot to win the game.

Those two last England goals are why it’s hard to watch women’s soccer sometimes.

I agree that the 2nd England goal was shambolic defending, but the third goal was a pretty nice through ball and the finish was clinical. You can certainly argue that the pass should have been denied on the 3rd goal, but I think there was some hesitation that put a seed of doubt in the defense.

Also, Sam Kerr scored a cracker of a goal following a great run and also missed a sitter from 3 meters out that would have tied the game.

Here's the goal...

And here's the miss...

They missed two chances to put the ball back in England’s end before the run. Could also argue leaving Russo alone like that was dumb too, even if the through ball was nice.

Somebody on twitter suggested naming the England - Spain final as Colonization Clasico.

I probably shouldn't have laughed.

So many people on Twitterex were saying, as they always do, that "It's coming home".

At this point they need to concede that it's "home" is not where they think it is.
