How #9 on the States escaped without a card is a mystery to me.

Hard to say, looking at your screen grab above, the shot by Roord went right between the legs of a US defender and it's quite likely the keeper lost sight of the ball for a split second and could explain the slow reaction. That said, it was struck sweetly and right inside the post.

I'm concerned the Dutch are parking the big orange bus way too early.

Tie game. Horan who took that hit above responds with a beauty header off a corner kick.

Idk she is in a spot where the ball has no chance going through all those legs. I think she lost her positioning. Should have been more centred at least 5 feet to her right :noidea:

You're probably right. I was amazed that ball actually got through clean through all those bodies.

Geez, a lot of hate for Christine Sinclair out on social media. I mean, she was not great in this tournament, but there's plenty of blame to be shared.

really? wow .. what were people expecting? She really should have been in an off the bench role this tournament but with the injuries she had to play more than she should have.

Shes an all time global great but now ... she's old! She has a god damn community centre named after her lol

Because people don't know the name of the manager who's starting a 40 year old in a do or die game?

But whatever, when you eat shit 4-0 everybody's fair game.

It's weird to me that the Canadian women do great at the Olympics and generally come up short at the World Cup. Oh well, the team is certainly in a transition phase with some aging players that have likely played their last game for Canada and some young players needing to step up and drive the bus going forward.
