I think Alonso may have reacted differently had they not been arguing about the call on Neuer (right or wrong, they always argue it!).

The thing is, that exact same play that Martinez made on Alonso got called as a foul a dozen times during the rest of the game. It gets called every time, except that one.

Really though, I think the ref blew it twice on that sequence.

And I wouldn't be surprised if Bayern rested a few players against Hoffenheim to focus on the 2nd leg. They're 10 points up with 6 (I think) to play, so I would imagine they feel pretty safe.
Problem is, they have no players to sub in in order for the regulars to rest lol. They played with 4 guys on the bench last weekend, one of them being Reina. They had two substitute GK's on the bench last night, along with old man Pizarro and 18 year old Gianluca Gaudino. The team is just ravaged by injuries right now, and as always it happens at the absolute worst time.

Let's make it interesting and put Neuer on the backline rather than in the net!

Reading was so close to getting to penalty kicks against Arsenal for a berth in the FA Cup final, but Sanchez squeaked one through the keeper's body and just over the line.

First ever win for the Caps at Rio Tinto...

/Doesn't hurt when RSL finishes the game with 9 men.

One shot on goal, one goal. This won't keep lasting. The Caps have to do more offensively. Can't complain too, too much about the defense. Mattocks played well again. Maybe he's turning the corner.

FF to 2:40. I think Sebastian Giovinco had the best ten minutes in MLS history for an individual player.

Silva just got rocked with an elbow. He was down for awhile, was carted off with an oxygen mask, probably a concussion.
