In more minor news, looks like the Leicester exodus is finally on. Mahrez issued a statement saying he wants out. Can't imagine Vardy is far behind, and Schmeichel's been linked with some Prem big boys.

Vardy would sure look good on the red half of Merseyside.

Liverpool tends to have more success with foreign strikers. Have a funny feeling Vardy there would be Carroll 2.0.

Were I Jurgen Klopp, I'd be hell-bent on PEA. He's everything they need - a real star, a sure-as-shit striker who could have a Suarez-like effect backed by a much better squad led by a manager he's already played for before.

Dall'Africa: «Kessie non ha 20 anni, il Milan lo ha scoperto»

Translated:

According to Afrique Presse, the reason for the delay of medical examinations Franck Kessie would be a sensational discovery made by the medical staff Milan . "There have been no official announcements, but hospitals are rumors that the age of the Ivorian midfielder is not 20 years, but it has many more"

Essentially, that he's been lying about his age for years.

A 30 million euro transfer is at stake here.

Pretty crazy game between Zambia and Germany today at the FIFA U-20 - Zambia had a 3-1 lead late in the 2nd half, Germany ties it late with two goals, and Zambia wins it in extra time (make the final 4-3).

/I have to think that's the greatest result in Zambian soccer history.

I think Vardy would fit, just because he's not a classic target man type. Carroll, and Benteke for that matter, were both ill suited to the style of play at the club. Vardy runs all day, and I think he would do well under the pressing style of Klopp. FWIW, now that Athletico's transfer ban is going to stick, he's 6/1 to go to Liverpool through SkyBet, which makes the Reds the frontrunners. Of course, that same site has him 1/6 to stay at Leicester, so take that for what it's worth.

PEA would be an absolute dream come true, but I don't know if it's realistic. Liverpool don't like to pay the high wages that other clubs do. To me, that is the thing that seems to prevent them from returning to former glory. Right now the van Dyke thing is playing out, and the word is that Chelsea are offering 180,000£ per week, while Liverpool are offering 120,000. Whether or not he's worth it, it's just indicative of how they do business. This is not the time to sign a bunch of 21 year old developmental players with potential. This is the time to go after established, world class talent and take an honest run at things. I'm just worried that they won't do it.

Anybody watching the Champions League final? Mandzukic just leveled the match at 1-1 with a beauty after Ronaldo opened the scoring for Real Madrid.

I agree (and I haven't been the biggest supporter of CR7 in the past).
He's utterly unlikable most of the time but I can’t argue against him anymore – the guy is just a winner. To be at this point in his career and still be one of the most feared athletes on the planet is astonishing.
