#KruegerOut?

Let's wait to see what happens during the January transfer window - If Fonte and Van Dijk are shipped out of St. Mary's, the Saints fans are going to start showing up with torches and pitchforks.

At least one team on the south coast is playing well these days *grumble grumble*
Don't look now but Porstmouth are in the playoff zone in League Two. I always liked Fratton Park (do they still play there) as it seemed like it had the atmosphere of a seedy dive bar.

According to wiki, Fratton Park is still home to Portsmouth. Sounds like they're trying to get a new stadium built though:

In 2008, a fourth set of plans were approved, to build a new 35,000 capacity stadium and leisure/residential complex on Horsea Island.[5] In 2009 the Horsea Island development was put on hold due to financial issues.[6]

The previous proposal to rotate the existing pitch at Fratton Park by 90 degrees was re-instated.[6] Work was due to begin late 2009, with a gradual increase in capacity until completion in 2010 ending with a capacity of 30,000.[7]

In 2011, plans to spend money redeveloping Fratton Park were announced, with improvements to changing rooms and toilets. By 2015, however, with Portsmouth in League Two (fourth tier of English football), no redevelopment or expansion work had yet taken place. As it stands, Fratton Park's current capacity would appear adequate until promotion to a higher division is achieved.[8]

In 2015, two floodlight pylons were rendered obsolete due to corrosion and leaking water in the control boxes causing short circuiting. Musco Lighting handled the installation of new lighting in the stadium over the course of three months. However, a report indicated that the South Stand was not capable of taking on the lights. For the time being the decision has been made to keep the south Pylons active. [9]

The years Pompey were in the Prem and playing well were some of my favourite. Defoe, Crouch, Kranjcar, Sulley Muntari...some pretty big names passed through there.

It's colder in London right now for this Spurs-Chelsea game (-7 celsius) than it was at the Centennial Classic (3 celsius).

Islanders to London actually tick every box on an NHL international experiment.

Play on an island? Check.

Large market? Check.

Far as humanly possible from Mike Milbury? Check.

Suitable arena? London's got a few.

Marketing potential? England is the damn home of fish and chips. Bring back the High Liner jerseys!

Local player recruitment? Diego Costa could probably pass for an enforcer...

I never thought of those uniforms but that basically makes it a no-brainer.

/argh, too bad we lost the Gorton's Fisherman at sea a few years back - he had a lawyer friend who could get the ball rolling on this
