Regular Season 2021-22 and 2022-23 season: Adjusted EPA/Play

Mahomes: .269
Burrow: .198

Postseason:

Mahomes: .329
Burrow: .100

Combined:

Mahomes: .277
Burrow: .180

Career + Postseason:

Mahomes: .305
Burrow: .170

I think it's very, very straightforward.
Sure. When you pick a hand picked stat that shows that

Except Burrow does get it done, at least as much as Hurts does.

The 4th quarter points generated in the postseason paint an entirely different picture.

Burrow has lost 2 postseason games. Those are the games he 'didn't' get it done in. It doesn't make much sense to talk about crunch time failures in games that have been won. Anyway, the first failure was mostly due to one of the best NFL players to ever live stepping up in the final 2 quarters to take over the game (Aaron Donald). The second was mostly due to one of the players that is currently among the most dominant interior defenders (Chris Jones) in the game taking over when the game was on the line. In both cases, Burrow was being protected by an offensive line starting less than half of their opening day starters.

Sometimes great players are outdone by other great players. It happens. I wouldn't put much stock into the idea that Burrow doesn't have the make-up to win these situations in the future. I think it will even out.

Hurts runs when things get out of hand... Burrow throws it... As a result you are going to get more INTs

To take it a step further the AFC Championship game last year they lost with 3 seconds left in the game and in the 2021 SB they were winning until a TD by the Rams in the last minute of the game. Burrow doesn't have to explain himself to anyone other than the agenda driven OP.

In the Super Bowl the Bengals ended the game on 5 straight scoreless offensive drives. Punt, punt, punt, punt and turnover on downs. That's coming up small at the end on Burrow.

In the AFC Championship Game loss the Burrow had two offensive drives in the 4th. The first one he threw an interception on. The second one they punted.

Well shit.... Now do Mahomes every time he played the Bengals. I'm not ready to say that Mahomes isn't clutch based on a few games where he was done in by good D.

And yes, there is some cherrypicking in the initial post by Liscow, but if you follow the thread, he gets rid of the selective reporting and the numbers still come out in similar fashion.
