Fuck it, give it to whomever the guy in Utah is, we'll forget his name. MCW won it. He's trash. Embiid and Dario were passed over last year for a cat that was 24, they responded nicely. Give it to the guy that throws up 30 shots to get 30 points. He doesn't have anyone around him...

My instinct has been to defend Simmons here but I really don’t care. It’s a meaningless award. Agreed - give it to Mitchell for all I care.

Nah... it should be Simmons, although Mitchell has had a great rookie season too and would probably win it any other year.

20 PPG on roughly 44% shooting.

Believe it or not but when you actually take jump shots, your shooting % usually goes down.

FTR, Embiid was only passed over because dude barely played last year. Hard to win ROY when you miss 51 games.....

Saric wasn't better than Brogdon.
The main point on brogdon was the fact he was 24 when cats are talking about redshirting years. That being said, he's still nowhere near Embiid or Saric

Coming straight from college as a 4th or 5th year senior or as a 1 and done are both the same as long as the player plays immediately Getting drafted, sitting out of the year, and practicing for months with an NBA team is completely different.

What I do know about Brogdon is he was better than Saric and played for a winning basketball team who made the playoffs which kinda plays a factor in ROY unless the player on a losing team is so much better than the rookie on a winning team

all a matter of opinion. my opinion none of this matters, as mentioned, both the players are better than brogdon today, so who fucking cares?

Exactly. And Embiid played like 31 games.

ROY isn't about who is the best prospect, it is about who has had the best overall season. Last year it was Brogdon, this year it is Simmons. Nobody in their right mind would take Brogdon over Embiid or even Saric, but the reality is that he had the best season of the 3.

i didn't, though does it matter either way? much like ROY doesn't matter? We're talking about rookies. there's already this cat on, fuck i think it was the eagles board, who i never saw post anything about the sixers talking about trading fultz for something.

Wow...another entry into the " I have no idea what the fuck I'm talking about " club.

A little competition is healthy.

No need to erroneously shit on the other guy.

Ben is better is all you needed to say.

that is what i was going for, only said it because i don't get why we're even talking about this. cat may be a good player going forward, but he's not on the same level. people bring up embiid, alright, but let's not act like gobert isn't the best player on that team.

Obviously you do.

I think there was a excellent case for Saric to win.

I think they bypassed Embiid because he only played 31 games.

Simmons is the clear rookie of the year.

But, Donovan's candidacy clearly has you shook...lol

He's not.

Nowhere close.

But, I think the fact that he helped his team to the Postseason gave him the nod over Saric.

You should defend him.

He's on the team you root for.

But, more importantly , he deserves to win.

I love Donovan.

Been hard charging for him all season.

But, it's over...

Simmons is a complete stud.

The Aussies gonna be a brutal matchup...lol

Simmons, Maker, Exum, Baynes, Delly, Patty, Ingles...

We better grab Kyrie before they do.
