Simmons owns this award. Mitchell and Tatum can be argued 2 and 3. I see some articles that place Theis in top 10, not sure how that can be argued at 5 ppg

He has had a GREAT rookie season and looks like he could be a super versatile player that every team vying for rings would want.

For sure he's a prime talent. Still surprised that he gets that much more love than Kuzma though...Tatum has been the more efficient shooter.

He's playing for a top team and a major contributor for that team while Kuzma is playing for a lottery team.

Exactly. Was going to post the same thing. Glad I read your post before I responded. If the Lakers were in the playoff hunt, Kuz would be getting as much or more love than Tatum. Might even be higher in the RoY race. But they're not, so he doesn't and isn't.

If we look at offensive numbers their is a good argument to place Kuzma with the top three. But what I suspect the pundits do is look at defensive numbers as well. In fact defensively Simmons and Tatum really stand out

If pundits looked much at defensive numbers, IT and Harden would never be in the MVP race.

Tatum does have that advantage, although head to head didn't show it too much.

They also aren't doing jack shit as a team and are basically just rolling the ball out and letting him number hunt. They have no coach, no system, just full tank. Kinda hard to evaluate just how much is real in those circumstances. At the very least, he's not a bust so there's that.

I’m still upset about your “Ben Simmons is Robin” comment. If Joel Embiid is the Sixers’ Batman, then Ben is at least on the same level as Aquaman or The Flash. A superhero in his own right but really dangerous when you put the right group of people around him.

If Embiid is Batman, Simmons is Azrael.
