Prion Disease

Treatment:
There is currently no cure for prion diseases. Treatment is supportive and focuses on managing symptoms and improving quality of life.

Prevention:

There is no known way to prevent prion diseases. However, measures can be taken to reduce the risk of exposure, such as:

Avoiding consumption of infected meat products, Practicing good hygiene, and Using caution when handling potentially contaminated materials.

Outlook:
Prion diseases are invariably fatal. The average life expectancy after symptom onset is typically less than a year.

Yeah, I know...more knew because I haven't spoke to him in years...GFR's road manager. He was then and is to this day, a good friend of my mothers.
I helped him boil sap and finished a bottle of Dom Perignon with him and he was at my wedding.

That Dom was GOOD.
