And that because you weren't quite sure you had eaten there the first time?
OR

You didn't believe that the first time was really food poisoning?
close, two times when traveling it seemed like the best choice among really bad options.

So...check engine light came on in my wife's Jeep. Not a Wrangler, Grand Cherokee with a Hemi.
Talked to our mechanic at work who worked for the local Mopar dealership for years and he said check the evap hose before I do anything.
Sure enough, it's a thin walled hard plastic tube that goes from some valve mounted above the drivers side valve cover and loops around to the fender with a tee down and then a plug facing up. Heat from the manifold makes the tube get real brittle and it cracks.
Amazon, $60.
Ebay motors, $60.
Local Mopar, $59 and change and in stock!

So the two ends, at the valve and the plug, have these green clips that you squeeze at two points 180 degrees apart and it releases the parts that are at the 90 and 270 degree points if that makes sense. With your thumb and for finger squeeze at 12 and 6 so the clip will spread apart at 3 and 9 and release the tube. Super simple and works great both released in 30 seconds by someone who has never done it.

But on the Tee facing down, which could be the exact same set up....no. One red horse shoe shaped clip that is on top of and secures a white horse shoe shaped clip that slides into a slot from the opposing direction.
Red clip came out fine, white one broke in two leaving half stuck in the slot. This was after struggling with it for 15...20 minutes.

Fuck.

Fuck Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck FUCKITY fuck.
Fuckin fuck.

So now I need a new clip...not really, I can Jury Rig it with zip ties to keep it in place, but more importantly, I need to get the half a clip out so I can change the hose!!!

More of a negative vibe, took my 17 year old daughter for a drive (she's driving with a learners permt) and a kid speeding around a hair pin curve loses control and takes us out.

Cop at the scene could see what happened and first asked if he was speeding then after the kid left vented it was clear the kid was lying to him. Fortunately the placement of the cars laid all fault on him.

All in all my daughter handled it well.

Sorry to hear that. I guess everyone is alright?

Hopefully no lasting fears for your daughter as she's learning to drive.

She has a scratch on her forearm that's a little swollen from the air bag, nothing for me. She's a little shaken, but not that much considering.

Current Vibe: Fuck Dyson vacuums. So we have Dyson that is about three years old, we noted the battery started dying faster. Well now the battery won't charge. I got the on line chat and asked for a link for the replacement battery. " Well we would like to troubleshoot the vacuum", no need I said it's the battery. "Can you call us back later so we can troubleshoot the vacuum?". No that's okay I will buy a new Bissel

We've got two Dysons.
One, corded, is 8-9 years old and works great...or just as well as it ever has.
The second is a year old, cordless and still works like it did a year ago, when new.
What really works is the central vac that our most recent house came with.

But to the batteries. This is why I am anti electric car. I don't trust the batteries to be as dependable as ICE.

So I just read that McDonalds plans to put Order Kiosks in all their establishments. I have a hard time calling them a restaurant so I went with establishment. Here is the kicker the reduce work staff world wide and plan to charge a service fee for using the Kiosk.

I don't eat at McDonalds or any fast food place for that matter but if ever there were a "restaurant" where kiosks make perfect sense, it's there.

But why should you pay an additional service fee for use of the Kiosk

Because it's for your safety.
Crooks cannot steal your cash if you don't have any cash.

Or some bullshit like that. Think of the children.
