the question I have about moving to Quebec is why go back to a place that failed already in the past?

Notice how MLS soared in Portland when no one thought it would work out, it's harder to get a ticket to a Timbers game then it is to a Blazers game (when Blazers were good) NHL would THRIVE in the Portland market. Absolutely thrive.

The Canadian fans on the board know much more about the Canucks situation than I do. From what I've read on this board every single province other than B.C. has a great dislike for the Canucks.

I think Toronto is more hated than Vancouver up here.
and mainly due to the media coverage that is forced down our throats, even when the team is largely irrelevant.
which feeds their fan base into their belief that the team is still #1 in the nation's hearts and minds.

Alberta teams hate each other first, but dislike the Canucks because we have done very well against them in recent years.
the prairies tend not to mind us (ie. a lot of fans there), but mainly they are original 6 fans (Leafs or Habs) there.
In Ontario, Leafs fans hate the Habs and Sens, and vice versa. They generally dislike the Canucks as an afterthought.
I believe we have a fair number of canuck fans in the maritimes, largely because our farm team used to be out there, so they got to see some of our players develop.

and we do have some players that have made us targets in the past (basically our 2nd line today), and we are easy prey as a team as we haven't won a championship
