Yep.

DLo legitimately makes his team worse

Might wanna check 2018/19 nets. Where he dragged a team to the playoffs as their best player

Did he really though? There was some quality talent on that roster at the time.

Both situations he has been in since he has clearly made the team worse.

Good players don’t do that.

Yep, he had plenty of talent around him and "dragged them to the playoffs" would suggest he was putting up crazy numbers lol.

He averaged 21 ppg 7 apg 4 rpg shooting a measly 43% from the field. He shot 39% from 3 which is pretty good.

He had a nice supporting cast: Dinwiddie, Joe Harris, Caris LeVert, DeMarre Carroll, Jarrett Allen, Allen Crabbe, Shabazz Napier, RHJ. 42-40

They got skulldragged in the 1st round and DLo shot 36% from the field and 32% from 3. LeVert was their #1 option in that series.

Guys like kurucs, demarre Carroll, Ed Davis, Jared Dudley we’re in the top 10 in minutes player.

Levert wasn’t as he missed over half the season.

Russell was clearly the best player on that team. And they made a surprise run to the playoffs. No one expected them to make it that year.

He hasn’t been as good as that version of Russell since.

Why I don’t know.

But Wiggins has never been close to as good as that player.

Half the guys you listed aren’t even in the league anymore.

Carroll and crabbe were already toast by then. So was rhj. Names, not dudes anymore

I think it is pretty clear actually.

He is a super ball dominant scorer who takes a lot of bad shots.

If he is the #1 option, it can maybe work.

When he is 2,3 or lower, it doesn’t work at all.

And any team with Dlo as their top option is going to be mediocre at best.

In other words…

He is pretty close to worthless.

Give me a guy like Wiggins who makes a solid 3 or 4 on a good team over a guy like Dlo who has only had success as the #1 option and really sucks in any other role all day, every day.

3-1. And Wiggins is a different player now than when he was in minnesota. He was literally one of the worst rebounders and defenders in the league. Some people need a change of scenery.

And a change of role as others have said.

Wiggins will always be pretty embarrassing relative to the hype. He won’t live up to the billing.

But he’s also shown to be someone that can clearly adapt into being more of a valuable role guy.

I can’t believe this debate is still going on. Wiggins is a far more valuable asset than Russell

It's really only one poster here who can't stop undervaluing Wiggins

It was a very legitimate debate when the trade was made. Now, not so much.

Deangelo russell is just fucking trash. It doesnt matter all the good things he does because the things he does wrong always outweigh it in the end.

Minny is 3-5 with a 4 game road trip where they should lose all 4 if not at least 3 of 4.

Would leave them a 3-9 or 4-8 through 12 games. Sounds like a typical T-Wolves season

Yeah, they are really missing is 35% FG% and 10th ranked PER on the team. A starting PG that averages 1.4 assists per turnover is critical to success......

Maybe it is the -5 +/- ? negative win shares? 11th ranked defensive rating? maybe the fact that despite his terrible defense it is still somehow better than the 89 points produced per 100 possesions while on the court. Have to love his confidence though, even with his next level shit play this year, he still won't pass it, as seen by his second highest usage rating on the team. I love that he takes the ball out of KAT's hands.

I sure do miss that guy.

Twolves defense was looking inflated due to teams missing open shots early in the year, I admit I bought into it. KAT is at least trying on defense which is nice, but it has come at the cost of rebounds. Wolves are the worst rebounding team in the league by a large margin, can't win like that.
