You mean, you're adding nothing new to post #106 that you edited 32 minutes ago, right?

Yeah, we can see that.

Sorry you quoted something of mine and took it out of context. I didn't add anything to post #106, I edited it b/c I had a spelling error.

"Trout is easily going to be a top 10 player, especially if he continues his pace of the last year and half." - That was there the entire time, sorry bud.

Regardless, as everyone else has mentioned, you should have edited out "easily" while you were at it, sport.

Why do that, when it's pretty obvious, at his pace, that he will be?

I agree and Harper is having a better year then Trout this year. These guys are under 23 and have already been to 7 all star games. Trout just had a good allstar game. These guys are the future of baseball. Along with some others. Baseball is peaking right now with all these young talented kids. I wish my Yankees had a young Kid. Hoping it will Aaron Judge.

yup, but he was supposed to barn storm baseball out of the gate.
They have. Baseball is in great shape. Home Run derby got one of the highest ratings in a long time and baseball has a lot of teams in it. Having teams like Houston and KC and Pitt making the playoffs is great. Its just not the top salary teams making it.

They probably do, but they keep him tied up in some dark space in the locker room.
Im excited that they are giving Refsnyder a chance at 2nd. I was getting sick of Drew. Now I just want to see Judge come up in September and maybe he makes the team next year.

I don't mind BA -- it's not the first I'd look at, but it's not horrible -- but yeah, looking at HRs and particularly RBIs totals over seasons where a guy's been injured doesn't accomplish much.

You do have to be able to make contact to some degree. It's hard to hit around .200 and be a productive player, unless you're putting up good power numbers *and* drawing 90+ walks/HBPs.

But BA is a very incomplete stat. It weighs singles and extra bases equally, and ignores HBPs/walks/etc.

after seeing the 30 for 30 on Bo, Trout is even better
Trout plays with Pujols and for the only franchise in MLB history who probably did more 'roids than the Oakland A's. So I'm thinking he'll be good til he's 52 (unless baseball institutes random, in-game testing, in which case he'll be the next Ryan Braun).

I am sure you would have accused Bo Jackson, Hank Aaron, Adam Dunn, Mike Schmidt when you saw them playing of PED use, lol, you accuse all the big name players except Tony Gwynn but hey, he was probably on them too, they way he ballooned up after the game.

I want to hear people start accusing the guys who were the last ones to make the teams, guys who used just to get that MLB min salary. You know there were quite a few of them as well.

Yeah. I would take Trout hands down right now, but like most knowledgeable baseball fans, I'm excited at the prospect of watching these two "compete" against each other for a long time.

Magic Johnson/Larry Bird, brought everyone back to the NBA, Trout/Harper can do the same for MLB

That's a dumb post. You're better than that.

not really, PED user since 1991 here, starting to show side effects now.

You've been using PEDs for almost 25 years and are just now "starting to show side effects."

That's a bigger load of bullshit than blaming a dead man's weight problem on steroids.

Except baseball attendance and revenue has been surging for years and the NBA was virtually dead. Not even close to the same thing.

Yeah, this isn't even a debate. Trout is going to go down as an all-time great and Harper is gonna be remembered more for his immaturity than being a good player.
Harper is 22 years old. His prime is still several years away. His OPS is in the top ten all time for players under 23.

It seems like he has been around forever already, but most guys his age are still "maturing" in the minors.

Trout has the perfect baseball body....6'2....230....has the speed to go 1st to home on a gapper. I like Harper but Trout wins now

Harper pretty obviously made a commitment to roids/PED this offseason. He is so riddled with steroids/PED, he looks like he's swallowed a pumpkin. And for the record, I'm fine with PED in baseball unless MLB ever starts testing in a way that isn't an utter joke.

PED are already taking a physical toll on him, too, with routine plays resulting in injuries.

He had to do enough PED to kill a small horse to have 1 great half of a season. Good for him if he keeps it up, but he'll never be as great a ball player as Trout.
