I believe Augusta took that option on purpose with the dry weather because rain is moving in and they are looking at softer conditions for at least 2 rounds.Players were saying it was impossible to get the spin you needed to keep the ball on the green when hitting out of the rough yesterday. Greens are just too firm for that. They're ugly to look at on the tv but it's nice to see a course punish people for not hitting fairways off the tee.
